The KENX/Albany radar this morning shows intermittent light to moderate snow north and east of Albany & the Capital Region. Light snow & sleet over the Capital Region with spotty sleet and light freezing rain/drizzle southward in the mid-Hudson Valley & eastern Catskills. Additional snowfall will be a half inch to two inches into the afternoon with a light glaze in some locations. The latest regional radar imagery shows a band of heavy lake effect snow off Lake Ontario. This band is moving all way into the western Adirondacks, where NYS Mesonet cameras are showing heavy snow impacting the Old Forge area. Snowfall within this band will fall over 1" per hour, allowing for difficult travel conditions.
