Quietly does it 🚢 Early on the morning of 26 February last year, the cruise ship Aida Sol slipped into port on Gran Canaria. One of the vessel’s engines had been damaged, and required a new crankshaft to be fitted. However, downtime was a luxury Aida Sol could not afford – she was carrying some 2,000 holidaymakers at the time.
